What is the difference between the Beyond Clean and the Beyond Fibre Wash?

Beyond Clean is used in warm to hot water on Diapers, removing lanolin from Woolies, Bibs, toys, car seats, bedding, towels, Pet Stains, oil and ever removes Red Wine spills.

Beyond Fibre Wash is great for washing in cool to warm water for woolies (doesn’t remove lanolin), the washing of baby clothes, and fine knits & sweaters.

What else can I use Power Scour/Beyond Clean for?

It works wonders as a carpet cleaner (1oz per gallonof H2O), window washing, kitchens, bathrooms, pet beds and car upholstery. (1tbs for 1 gallon of H2O)

What do I do if my baby swallows some our the Unicorn products?

Have your baby drink 1-2 glasses of water and call your physician.

Do your products have Soyoil, Palmoil, Coconut oil or Cocosoil?

No!

Do Unicorn products kill bacteria?

No, but they are effective. Rather then killing bacteria, our detergents remove bacteria and germs.

 Does Power Scour have germ killing substances?

We do not have any germicides, sanitizers, enzymes, phosphates or bleaching agents are in Power Scour. This was purposely done so as not to effect septic systems or require special permits and also not weaken the natural fiber- for example: enzymes attack protein, bleach can weaken the natural fibers and phosphates effect ground water.

Can I use Beyond Soft if I am going to Lanolize?

Yes but there is no need for the Soft with this process.

Are your products 100% Organic?

No, but we try very hard to get the best ingredients that work and clean while minimizing environmental impact.

Are your products safe for watering plants with the brown water?

Yes!!! We are Biodegradable.

How do I get the yellow tips of the raw fleece clean?

Those protein tips are generally the combination of oil/wax on the fiber as well as dirt/clay or urine, coupled with sun or drying effects. The urine acts like a dye staining the tips. We suggest a hot water soak, followed by a hot water scouring followed by a second wash with half the dosage of Power Scour. The results depend on how much was there to begin with and the subsequent number of hot washes/soaks needed to address that. Just remember not to let the hot water soak temperature drop significantly.

How do I remove Lanolin from Raw Fleece?

We suggest using either Power Scour or Beyond Clean. For light lanolin, one washing with a full dose. For heavy Lanolin,wash with full dose, and a second washing is suggested. If dyeing, remove all lanolin to help with dye uptake.

Will my Sweaters fade or discolor in the sun?

Drying your sweaters in the sun is not recommended due to damage in the UV Rays. Use a mesh rack and lay flat to dry, indoors.

How do I remove Lanolin from Woolies?

Use Beyond Clean and gently soak for 15 min. in hot water then rinse.

Are you products septic-safe?

Yes.

What is the difference between Unicorn Fibre products and Unicorn Beyond products?

They are the same great formulations with different labels for different markets.

Will Beyond Soft block absorption on my diapers?

No! The special formula in the Beyond Soft/Fibre Rinse will NOT inhibit the absorption of moisture and will NOT damage your diapers.

Do you offer samples?

How will Fibre Rinse affect fiber I’m planning to dye?

We recommend dyeing your fibers first, then rinse with Fibre Rinse or Beyond Soft to minimize dye loss and provide anti static conditioning.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If your order arrives damaged, take a picture and email melanie@unicornclean.com and we will get back you to as soon as possible to solve this problem.

We have International Wholesalers available who purchase in bulk and have inventory in stock so you don't need to pay shipping, from the USA. If there are no wholesalers in your area, and you would like to be a wholesaler - please visit our Wholesale page for an application. Are your products pH neutral?

Both our Fibre Wash and Beyond Fibre Wash, Power Scour/Beyond Clean have a pH of 7.5 to 8.0 - slightly alkaline to help in the cleaning process and have ingredients to minimize hard water effects.

The Fibre Rinse/Soft are slightly acetic with a pH of 6.0 to 6.5 to help minimize dye loss.

I cannot remove a stain. What should I do?

Use the Power Scour/Beyond Clean and apply a dab on the stain while gently working thru with your finger. Let sit for a few min. then wash as normal.

Should I soak in cool or hot water, with dirty raw fleece?

If you do a cool water soak, it will help remove dirt, but if you do a hot water soak, don’t let the water temp. drop too much, it will create a layer of lanolin that will be very hard, if not impossible to remove from the fibre.

Are the Unicorn products suitable for High Efficiency washers?

YES! All Unicorn products were formulated to produce minimal foam in a concentrated formula. You’ll use less product to do more cleaning at lower temperatures. All perfect for HE washers. 

Do you test on animals?

We DO NOT test on any animals.

Are your products environmentally friendly?

Yes, we are Earth Friendly Biodegradable and septic safe. You can use the “grey water” to water your plants.

What are the ingredients?

The Beyond Clean – Power Scour The anionic surfactants which include: Ethoxolated Alchohols, Sodium Carbonate are organic chemicals that converts electrically charged particles in solutions to remove dirt. The Nonionic is a low foaming Amphoteric surfactant that helps the anionics work better together. In addition an Anionic Aqueous Copolymer Solution that helps break down soils while avoiding redisposition on fabrics; Isopropyl alcohol is added along with Aqua and a lavender essential oil.

The Beyond Fibre Wash- Fibre Wash has Anionic and nonionic surfactants (like those above)

Sodium Bicarbonate/Carbonate which is a baking soda that helps remove stains and odors from fibers and helps raise the PH in water to clean better; an Aqueous Copolymer Solution (from above) Isopropyl Alcohol (from above), Acetic Acid Solution (a vinegar like solution) that helps in the cleaning process and also helps lock in colors, aqua and Lavender Essential oil

The Beyond Soft – Fibre Rinse Have a Cationic Quaternary Surfactant which is an anti-static conditioning agent, and an Anionic Surfactant, Ethoxylated Alcohol, Glacial Acetic Acid (a vinegar like solution) that helps minimize dye loss, aqua and Lavender Essential Oil.

What is the Lavender Essential Oil in our products? The oil is a well accepted plant for delicate skin, due to its relaxing and calming properties as well as an anti inflammatory, an astringent with antioxidant and possible antibacterial properties.

However, people may have more sensitivities, please test before using. We are happy to send you a sample.

Do you ship internationally?

We ship all international orders in flat rate boxes by USPS. We have found that this is the most cost effective option for most of our international customers. Here are our tips on how to get the best value when paying international shipping.
