HOW TO PREVENT COLOR BLEED

-Wash in cool water, add some vinegar to the water to help minimize dye loss. (Dyes tend to be acidic so using an acidic bath helps minimize bleeding)

-Use a gentle pH cleaner like Beyond Fibre Wash or Fibre Wash followed by a slightly acidic pH conditioner like Beyond Soft or Fibre Rinse.

-Also consider Color Catcher sheets and/or  table salt especially for the deep colors. (These require some trial and error testing, and may help but....)

- Last option, and one I don't favor given the use and reuse of the solutions, may be dry cleaning.

If you have an item and already washed it and the color bleed, try soaking in hot water with Power Scour. That should help lift some of the dye. (test first to make sure it doesn’t bleed more first)

To lock in the color, and prevent further color loss, use the Beyond Soft or Fibre Rinse.
